Cops: Man with 8 License Suspensions Had 8 Grams of Marijuana in His Car
Roosevelt man was pulled over on the Southern State Parkway Tuesday night, cops said.

A Roosevelt man faces drug and traffic charges after driving with eight license suspensions with several grams of marijuana in his car, according to New York State Police.
Police stopped Elliott Fortune, 40, on the Southern State Parkway near Peninsula Boulevard at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday for failure to stay in his lane, cops said. While questioning Fortune, police said they detected a strong smell of marijuana. Officers searched the car and found 8 grams of marijuana inside the car, cops said.
Fortune was also driving with eight license suspensions, police said.

Fortune was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, unlawful possession of marijuana, and traffic violations.
