On Wednesday night, any unlocked cars were broken into on Wolf. Ave in Malverne. I also heard from a neighbor that Ackley Ave. also had the same thing happen. I have lived in Malverne for over 17 years and this is the first time this has happened on a street I live on. While we think we are safe because we have our own police department, I have noticed a lapse by police in nightly patroling. Many cars are being left out on the streets with no permit and rarely are tickets give out. Call the local village and make sure you lock your vehicles.
