CURRAN HONORS LOCAL WEST HEMPSTEAD STUDENT AT NASSAU COUNTY JCRC HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMEMORATION

Press release.

Assemblyman Brian Curran (Lynbrook-21st A.D.) recently honored a local West Hempstead student, Alyssa Karfinkel, at the Nassau County Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) Commemoration at Hofstra University. Students were honored for making a difference in the community by creating a more civil society through volunteering, building ties across different communities, or working on intergenerational projects. This year, JCRC honored Holocaust survivor Ethel Katz, and Curran presented an official New York State Assembly Citation to Alyssa.
