Episode One: My Big Friggin' Wedding

Lynbrook couple argues over whether groom will wear white or black.

There is nothing more important than tanning to maintain your sexiness before your upcoming nuptials. Lynbrook's Joey Cimino, of VH1's My Big Friggin' Wedding, knows this all too well.

In the first episode, which aired Nov. 1, Cimino and fiancee Sandra Venturi are preparing for the big day, which includes Cimino's trip to a tanning salon and tuxedo shop. As the cameras rolled, the couple bickered about Cimino wearing a white vest with his tuxedo at the wedding. She wanted white, he wanted black.

"I thought it was only proper for him to wear white for our wedding," Venturi said. "I think I influenced both families to agree with me that white is the better option."

Looking to throw the biggest friggin' wedding ever, the couple is hoping to tie the knot in a big friggin' fashion. And yes, the word "friggin'" is said many times throughout the episode. The couple said they couldn't be happier about their introduction to the VH1 viewers. "We liked it," Venturi said of the first episode.

Far from being camera shy, Cimino said he enjoys seeing himself on television.

"After seeing the commercials and promos, I've gotten use to seeing myself on TV and it's not such a big deal. It's pretty cool," he said.

Not ones to judge the other over the top couples, Cimino and Venturi remain neutral. "We don't judge, it's not in our nature. We met them in person and they are the coolest people," said Venturi.

As the cameras continue to follow the high stress of planning a big friggin' wedding, next week's episode will get heated when Cimino demands Venturi to cook.

"As the season goes on, it's going to get better and better," said Cimino.

Tune in to My Big Friggin' Wedding Mondays at 9 p.m. on VH1 to see if this Lynbrook couple survives the wedding-planning drama and make it down the aisle.
