L.I. High Schoolers Plan To Take On The Rock. Yes, That Rock.
The actor broke the students' world record a day after they set it, and now they want it back.

Earlier this week, students at Carey High School in Franklin Square set a new world record by knocking down more than 2,800 cereal boxes like dominoes. Their status was short-lived, though, as the next day Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the actor and former professional wrestler, beat the students' record by toppling just over 3,000 boxes.
But the Care students will not be beaten. Now they're taking on The Rock to reclaim their world record. This Sunday, the students will attempt to knock down 3,400 cereal boxes and cinch their world record.
Johnson posted on Facebook that his production studio, Seven Bucks Digital Studio, had been working for a week to set up the boxes and beat the record, so it seems to be a coincidence that he happened to do it a day after the students from Carey.

After their first attempt, the students had donated all of the cereal they used. But they called the trucks back for take two. Still, once the new record is set, the students are donating the thousands of boxes of cereal to hurricane victims in Naples, Florida and Puerto Rico. All of the cereal was donated by Cherry Valley Market Place in West Hempstead.
Johnso also donated his thousands of boxes of cereal to The Midnight Mission in Los Angeles.

The students plan to try for their record again Sunday morning. It will take them hours to set up the boxes, but only a few minutes to (hopefully) watch them fall.
