Loaded Gun Found During West Hempstead Traffic Stop: Police
Warren Samuels faces charges that include criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A man was taken into custody after he was found with a loaded handgun during a traffic stop.
Warren Samuels, of Uniondale, was pulled over on Cherry Valley Avenue in West Hempstead just before 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, authorities said.
He failed to maintain the proper lane and police stopped his 2015 black Cadillac at the intersection of Grand Avenue.

During an investigation, officers recovered a .45 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun and a substance believed to be crack cocaine, police said.
Samuels was arrested without incident and faces multiple charges, including two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and third-degree criminal possession of control substance.
