Lynbrook Schools Names New Interim Head Of Special Services
Lynbrook Public Schools has named a new interim director of special services.

LYNBROOK, NY — A Queens educator with more than three decades of experience has been named interim director of special services for Lynbrook Public Schools. David Feller, of Fresh Meadows, Queens, most recently served as the interim director of special services for Katonah-Lewisboro Public Schools, Lynbrook district officials said in a release.
Feller was appointed to the new position at the district's board of education meeting Thursday.
Beginning his career as a special education teacher, Feller moved into administrative roles such as director of special education for the Carle Place Union Free School District and administrator of educational services for the East Williston Union Free School District. He also served as superintendent of schools for the North Merrick School District.

Feller earned a bachelor's degree in history from the State University of New York at Binghamton, his master's degree in special education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a certificate of advanced study in educational administration from Hofstra University.
Melissa Burak, superintendent of Lynbrook schools said they are pleased to have him join the district.

"We are confident that Mr. Feller will support our students well and assimilate nicely into the Lynbrook culture," Burak said in a news release.
