Malverne Rolls Out Pre-Prom Red Carpet for Senior Class

Malverne High School seniors were dressed to impress for their red carpet pre-prom bash on May 31. The event gave the seniors a chance to show off their prom attire prior to hitting the dance floor at their senior prom.

The red carpet event, which took place behind the high school building featured passed finger foods and for students and their families, a photoshoot. There, they took posed and candid prom photos.

One-by-one limos and party buses pulled up, and student volunteers, dressed in black and wearing VIP passes, escorted the seniors to the red carpet, where the couples took their turns strutting for friends, family, students and Malverne teachers and staff to take photos.

The girls showed off some of the 2012 prom season’s newest trends in a variety of colors. Dresses ranged from bright white to beautiful blues, corals and purples. 

Senior boys sported polished tuxedos in both traditional black and even some in stunning bright white. Many of the boys also kept the tradition of matching their tuxedo vests to their date’s dress color. 

After each group of seniors got their moment of glam in the spotlight, they continued back to their party busses and limos to make it to the 7 p.m. senior prom, held at Westbury Manor on Jericho Turnpike.
