Man Caught Pretending To Be Police Officer: NCPD
The 27-year-old flashed a badge out the car window while an officer was trying to pull him over for traffic infractions, police say.

HEMPSTEAD, NY — A Valley Stream man was arrested for pretending to be a police officer while driving in Hempstead early Saturday, according to Nassau County Police. Kaneik Brown, 27, was driving a 2008 Mercedes Benz at around 12:25 p.m. when he was spotted committing multiple traffic infractions by a Hempstead Police Officer, police said.
As the officer tried to pull him over, Brown waived an open wallet out of his driver’s side window, police said. He then allegedly told the officer he was a Nassau County Police Officer, police said.
The officer then found during a search that he had a name tag, a tie clip, handcuff keys, a replica HK VP9 BB gun, duty belt, an armor plate carrier, dashboard light, navy blue pants and an empty holster, police said.
