Police say the man robbed the same Subway restaurant at gunpoint twice in eight days.

Nassau County police arrested a man they say robbed the same Subway restaurant twice in eight days.

On Sunday, Sept. 15 and on Monday, Sept. 23, police say that Jerry Torres, 55, of Fowler Avenue in Franklin Square, entered the Subway restaurant at 679 Franklin Ave. and robbed it at gunpoint. On Sept. 23, there was a customer in the restaurant who police say Torres pushed into the back and then ordered the employee to open the register.

On both occasions, police say Torres had a stocking over his face to hide his features.

Torres was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 3. He is charged with two counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday, Oct. 4 in First District Court in Hempstead.
