See what Crossroads Farm in Malverne is selling this week.

"The summer bounty is here," says Lisa Mitten, a consultant for in Malverne.

Customers can now literally reap the benefits of the seeds that have been sown at the farm, which is owned by Nassau County and operated by the non-profit Nassau Land Trust.

Baskets full of cherry and field tomatoes, cucumbers, string beans, peppers, beets, basil, parsley and rainbow chard- all organic and picked from the property in Malverne - are on sale at the Crossroads' farmer's market on Hempstead Avenue.

Right now there are blueberries, blackberries, peaches, cantaloupe, plums and tomatoes picked at Wickham's Fruit Farm and red and Yukon gold potatoes from Wesnofski Island End Farm in Peconic. Also, coming from the Peconic are squash and cucumbers, which are currently on sale.
