2 Teens Killed In Early Morning Long Island Crash

Police say an 18-year-old driver crashed into a parked car, killing two of her passengers.

WEST HEMPSTEAD, NY — A teenage driver crashed into parked car early Thursday, killing two passengers in her BMW, Nassau police said.

The 18-year-old driver struck a parked vehicle on Westminster Road near Fairlawn Avenue in West Hempstead at 1 a.m.

A 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl were ejected from the 2018 BMW X3 and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The 19-year-old was identified by family as Kurtis Caesar, of Queens, ABC 7 reported.

The driver was taken to a hospital and is in stable condition. Police are still investigating the collision, but believe that speed was a factor.
