Three Arrested for Robbery After Car Chase, Crash: Police

BREAKING: The three fled after robbing a gas station with a shotgun, police say.

Three men were arrested and charged with robbing a gas station Thursday after they led police on a chase on the Southern State Parkway and crashed their car, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

According to detectives, Marion Singletary, 37, of Hempstead, entered the Gulf Gas Station located at 236-01 Linden Boulevard in Elmont and pointed what appeared to be a shotgun at a 37-year-old clerk and demanded cash from the register. After complying, the clerk also handed over cash from his wallet. Police say Singletary then fled on foot with cash and two packs of cigarettes.

Police say that an officer in the area saw Singletary running into a 2011 Black Infinity, driven by Gregory Williamson, 23, of Laurelton, along with front passenger Albert Brady, 33, of Hempstead. The car drove away east on the Southern State Parkway. Another officer, alerted on his radio that a robbery had just occurred, saw and attempted to stop the car near Exit 13 on the Southern State by activating his lights and siren.
