The village of Malverne has ordinances governing parking, trees, permits, garbage, free-standing water and more.

For instance, no one can park their cars on the village's streets between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. without special authorization from the police.

Garbage can not be placed at the curb prior to 7 p.m. or 30 minutes past sunset (whichever comes first) the night before it's to be collected.
