State corrections officials have not yet released any outcome, and local prosecutors and the couple’s sons have urged the board to deny his release, citing the seriousness of the crime.
   

• Manhasset Board of Ed swears in new president (longislandpress.com) — Manhasset families have a new Board of Education president, Nadia Giannopoulos, who will help guide possible big changes like exploring a community swimming pool and a future bond. At the same meeting, trustees accepted major donations from CASA and the Booster Club, tightened ID rules for student pickup, and set meeting dates for the 2026-27 school year.
