12-Year-Old Girl In Stable Condition After Massapequa SUV Crash, PD Says
Police say a 12-year-old girl is in stable condition after a crash in Massapequa Tuesday night.
MASSAPEQUA, NY — A 12-year-old girl is in stable condition at the hospital Wednesday after she was struck by an Acura SUV while crossing Carman Mill Road in Massapequa Tuesday night, police said.
Nassau County police said the crash took place at 8:53 p.m., with the 12-year-old crossing the street near Oakley Street. While she was crossing the street, a 75-year-old man was driving his SUV southbound and struck her, police said.
In the aftermath of the crash, police said the girl was taken to a hospital where she’s listed in stable condition. The driver of the SUV, police said, remained at the scene. No arrests or charges were reported Wednesday, but police said an investigation was ongoing.
