22-Year-Old Dies In Motorcycle Crash In Nassau

Police say his motorcycle hit a car that was making a left turn. The investigation is ongoing.

A 22-year-old man died after his motorcycle crashed into a car in Massapequa Monday evening.

Nassau police say that the man was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle north on Broadway at Boston Avenue when he collided with a 2006 Ford Taurus heading south that was making a left turn onto Boston Avenue.

The motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and suffered multiple injuries. The Massapequa Fire Department took him to a nearby hospital, and he was later pronounced dead by doctors.

Police say that the motorcycle was impounded for a brake test. A brake test was performed on the Taurus and released back to the driver at the scene. The driver of the Taurus, a 66-year-old woman, was not injured.

Police have not yet released the name of the man. They say the investigation is ongoing.
