• Fire heavily damages Massapequa home, displaces 4, injures 2 firefighters (newsday.com) — A serious house fire on Clocks Boulevard in Massapequa Saturday evening heavily damaged a two-story home, displaced four residents, and injured two firefighters. About 100 firefighters from Massapequa and neighboring departments battled flames involving the house and attached garage, which contained lithium-ion batteries. The cause is under investigation, and the road remained closed into the night.
