Armed Robbers Steal Painkillers From Nassau Pharmacies

Police say they robbed two different pharmacies over the weekend.

Police are searching for two men who committed early morning robberies at pharmacies in Nassau County over the weekend, stealing prescription drugs and more.

According to police, the two men, both armed with handguns, entered two different pharmacies and stole amphetamines, oxycodone, percocet and cough medicine. No one was injured during the robberies.

The first robbery was on Feb. 17 at 2:50 a.m. at CVS, located at 44 North Central Ave. in Valley Stream. The second was on Feb. 19 at 2:40 a.m. at Walgreen's, located at 4120 Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage.

One of the robbers is a man about 6 feet tall. The other has a stocky build. Both were wearing dark clothes, gloves and masks.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding these crimes to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
