Until quite recently, when I closed my eyes and headed to sleep, I was reasonably confident my internet world was under some degree of control.

Since the introduction of AI (or its counterpart with another identity) that is no longer so.

I now awaken to discover some gremlin (another obsolete word) has changed a few of the comfortable means of communication I once enjoyed while I sought my lover in dreams.

AI (if I may use your name) you are complicating matters and I don’t wasn’t to lose my thought. I really don’t need your help selecting a blank page despite my age,

Yesterday after giving it great deliberation, I made a purchase online from the Apple Store.

This was not my first experience ordering online for an Apple product.

It is something I have done frequently in the past six years after I reluctantly relinquished my car.

My past online shopping experiences have always worked beautifully.

I place an order, receive a confirmation and voila, my purchase arrives.

But not this time!!!

I placed an order, but received no email confirmation.

After contacting Apple Support (who are weary of hearing from me) I was told a message had been sent.

I do not send or receive messages, and I could not locate the confirmation without additional Apple support help,

AI appears to have tentacles that rather than help me remain upright on the internet are wrapping me in complications that threaten my digital survival.

I loathe conflict, and I did so hope AI and I could be friends.

However, now I am reluctantly beginning to doubt that possibility.

But I will keep trying, because I believe that is always important!
