Yet To Be

I am busy, and I am thrilled about it. I have even forgotten to complain about winter’s weather.

I think being busy is one of God’s great gifts, and when my calendar is blank, depression tries to fill the empty pages,

However, my goal (since I first held a pencil) was the novel I hoped to write. I began one or probably more than one, abandoned them for another day or time,

Every now and then the latent ambition would resurface, but there has always been an excuse.

Not any more primarily due to the reality of age. Although I am reluctant to admit it. It’s now or never.

And equally important, hidden in the boxes and boxes I have oft mentioned, I found a ms I had completed decades ago.

At the risk of being naive and/or a dreamer, I do like what I have written. Now I dare to hope perhaps I have finally achieved a long hoped for goal, mostly to tell a good story about good people,

The problem with the fragile 300 plus pages I have uncovered is not a rewrite, but copying from typewritten pages on to my Apple iPad.

The recovered discovery is so old (perhaps like the writer) that it was done on an electric typewriter and must be updated via time, energy and yes, enthusiasm.

While it is such fun, this unexpected discovery has consumed my world, and confirmed a belief that “The best is yet to be.”

And despite all the snow, “ Just A Love Story” was published as an ebook in January 11, 2024.
