Bria Smith Shines at Under 17 Worlds

Massapequa native scores 13 in rout of Canada.

Massapequa native Bria Smith was one of the stars in the USA Women's blowout of Canada at the Under 17 World Championships on Sunday. 

The former Christ The King High School standout dumped in 13 points and had three assists in the 114-57 win in Rodez, France.

The 5-10 guard, was a first team 2010 ESPN Rise All-American and a third team Parade Magazine All American and led her high school team to two state championships.

Kaleena Lewis of Anaheim, Calif. had 21 points to lead U.S. scorers in the preliminary round game.
