Brownstones Coffee Reopens After Two Year Closure

The popular coffee shop shut down after a fire broke out at the restaurant in 2015.

AMITYVILLE, NY - After almost two years, the popular coffee shop Brownstones finally re-opened up their Amityville restaurant on Wednesday.

Brownstones, located on 55 Merrick Road, shut down in August 2015 after a fire broke out at the restaurant.

On Tuesday night, owners Manny and Chris finally announced the reopening of the coffee shop on and the restaurant opened its doors on Wednesday.

The Amityville location was the first Brownstones to open up on Long Island back in 2002.

Last year, the owners decided to expand and opened another restaurant in West Islip.

The Amityville restaurant will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
