Car Set Ablaze In Massapequa Park; Police Investigating

Nassau County police said two people set a Dodge Caravan on fire early Saturday morning before fleeing on foot.

MASSAPEQUA PARK, NY — Nassau County police are investigating after they say two people poured flammable liquid on a van in Massapequa Park before setting it on fire.

The incident happened Saturday around 1:10 a.m., according to a Nassau County police news release. The 2010 Dodge Caravan was parked on Mayflower Avenue when its owner looked out his window and noticed the van was on fire, police said.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction, according to police. Authorities did not provide a description of the suspects.

The Massapequa Fire Department responded and put out the blaze. No one was injured, police said.
