Cops: 2 Flee Police, May Have Sold Heroin
Amityville men charged after fleeing police in a car and being found with substance resembling heroin.

Two Amityville men face charges after they nearly hit police officers as they tried to flee with drugs, according to Nassau County Police.
Detectives said they were conducting an investigation at the Bethpage Motel at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday when they spotted a suspicious car. The car circled the motel several times before stopping in the motel parking lot. Detectives approached the car and asked the driver, Jasheem Pulley, 19, and Lawrence Jay Duke, 19, to exit the car, cops said.
Instead of exiting the car, Pulley hit the gas and drove along a walkway before slamming into a stairway at the motel, cops said. Several detectives jumped out of the way but one officer sustained an injury to his hand, cops said.
