Cops: Man With Knife Fights Police, Threatens Mall Employee
Man was opening packages with a knife and fought arresting officers at Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, cops said.

A Massapequa man fought officers and threatened a store employee with a knife while trying to steal merchandise at Sunrise Mall, according to Nassau County Police.
Seventh Precinct officers responded to Walmart after receiving a call about a man with a knife, police said.
Officers found Brian Huber, 23, of Massapequa, inside the store opening packages with a folding hunting knife, cops said.

When police tried to arrest Huber, he began fighting with them and broke away before fleeing the store, cops said.
Huber was later seen entering Sears through a merchandise pickup area where he was confronted by an employee, police said. Huber threatened the employee and wielded his knife at him before fleeing to a parking lot where police were waiting for him, cops said.

Huber was detained after a brief struggle and was found with batteries and an X-Box, police said.
Several officers were knocked into store shelving in Walmart but none were reportedly injured in the spree, which happened at 11:31 a.m. Wednesday.
Huber was charged with second-degree menacing, petit larceny, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and resisting arrest. He was arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
