Cops: Trio Got Cash Using Fake Coin Star Receipts
Three men found with Coin Star paper, printer, re-encoded credit cards, police said.

Three men were caught using phony Coin Star receipts to get cash in a Massapequa grocery store, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said Donavon Greene, 27, of Springfield Gardens, Cranston Guy, 41, of Elmont, and Alberto Parkins, 27, of Brooklyn, presented a fraudulent Coin Star receipt to a cashier at Pathmark. The cashier handed over $79.24 in cash, police said.

The incident happened at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday.
Crimes Against Property Squad and Bureau of Special Operations officers arrested the three men, who were found with two re-encoded credit cards, Coin Star receipts, a computer flash drive, and a printer with Coin Star’s genuine paper, cops said.

All three were charged with criminal possession of forgery devices and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Parkins was also charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. They will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
