UPDATE: Police ID Driver Charged After Crash Into Pole
The 21-year-old was arrested on Tuesday morning.

MASSAPEQUA, NY -A 21-year-old Massapequa man was arrested after he crashed his car into a pole in Massapequa early Tuesday, police told Patch on Wednesday.
Daniel Patterson faces a felony charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs, police said.
Patterson crashed his car on Hicksville Road at Chicago Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to police.

Patterson, who was not hurt in the crash, was arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday. He was released on his own recognizance and is due back in court on June 28.
The crash caused about five dozen power outages in the area, FiOS1 reported.
