Twenty-nine years ago, Marty Lyons was determined to establish a foundation dedicated to granting the wishes of seriously ill children after his own personal experiences with sickness and death. With the encouragement of his family and friends, he formed the Marty Lyons Foundation in 1982. Since that time, the organization has succeeded in keeping hope alive in the hearts of many children and providing support to their families.
“Since the Foundation was created, we have granted close to 6,000 wishes. Wishes can make the impossible seem possible and inspire children to find courage and wish for more,” said Marty Lyons. “Events like this bowling night allow us to grant a wide variety of wishes to many children across Long Island. I encourage anyone interested in supporting the foundation to participate.”
