Special mass in order to bless a piece of World Trade Center steel, which will be incorporated into the Towers of Freedom Military Monument being erected in John J. Burns Park. The purpose of the monument is to memorialize those lost in the events of 9/11, as well as fallen members of our military in the subsequent war on terror.
They are asking that all military, police and firefighter personnel, active and retired, attend in uniform.
Following the church service, there will be a small reception at Maggie's on Park Blvd. in Massapequa Park. Food will be served to those in attendance and there will be a cash bar.
