Family Opens New Asian Fusion Restaurant in Massapequa
The restaurant is owned by chef Yunchang Zheng.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - A local family recently opened a new Asian Fusion restaurant, Nikita Japanese and Asian in Massapequa.
Last month chef Yunchang Zheng, who has over 20 years of experience in cooking, opened the restaurant along with his family located on 4348 Merrick Road.
“[The restaurant] is all about my father who had ’a restaurant dream’ for more than ten years and has never stopped convincing me, my mother and my brother to open a family restaurant,” Yunchang’s daughter and restaurant manager Lisa Zheng, who left her job at an insurance office to work at the restaurant said.

“Family is important,and means a lot to me,” she said “I decorated this restaurant myself and I touched every corner of this restaurant and put on every piece myself because I want to promote an environment that make my customers feel warm, comfortable and relax, like a home.”
Yunchang, who is “extremely picky” about his food, will be focusing on ingredient quality and freshness, taste, and presentation.

“His passion and persistence has made his dream come true,” Lisa said. “And now we settled down in Massappequa.”
Currently the restaurant offers a variety of different types of Asian foods including: Japanese (rolls ,sushi, sashimi), some Chinese, some Thai and some Malaysia.
“[Yunchang] really know the food and the balance of the food,” Lisa said. “It won’t be that spicy, it won’t that sweet, and it won’t that sour, everything is on the right balance.”
