Family, Community Grieves LI Teen, 'Bright Star' Killed In Crash
Funeral arrangements for 17-year-old Dylan Nuccio have been announced.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — A heartbroken community is coming together to mourn the death of Dylan Nuccio, 17, who died in a devastating crash this week.
The Plainedge High School senior was killed Tuesday during a lunchtime crash on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway.
Funeral arrangements for Nuccio have been announced: Visitation will take place from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at William E. Law on Jerusalem Avenue in Massapequa. Saturday's Mass is at St. James Roman Catholic Church in Seaford. It starts at 10:30 a.m.

"We are going to have to grieve and move forward," Family friend, Anthony De Mieri told CBS2.
It's another tragedy for the Nuccio family of Farmingdale, as Dylan's father Thomas died of COVID in 2021, CBS2 reported.

Dylan, who was alone in his BMW when he left the highway ramp and slammed into a tree, police said.
"He just got his car," De Mieri said. "He just got his license."
Along with having a crisis intervention team on site, Plainedge High School has counselors available for students and staff to help deal with the loss, the school said.
"Hopefully, we can just remember him as the beautiful, young [and] bright star that he was about to be," De Mieri told CBS2.
