Fatal Overdose Led To Arrest Of Suspected Dealer: Nassau Police

Police say an investigation by the Long Island Heroin Taskforce led to the arrest of the dealer.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — An investigation into a fatal overdose led police to arresting a suspected drug dealer on Saturday.

According to police, an investigation by the Long Island Heroin Taskforce into a fatal overdose in Massapequa led to the arrest of Robert Brinkley, 45, of Brefni Street, Amityville, at 7:25 p.m. on Dec. 5. Police also arrested a 57-year-old woman from Wyandanch for possession of marijuana.

Brinkley is charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance. He was arraigned on Dec. 6 and released on his own recognizance. The woman was issued an appearance ticket.
