Fire Destroys Nassau Home: Police

Police say the home was unoccupied at the time, and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Nassau County police are investigating a fire that destroyed a home in Massapequa Park Saturday night.

According to police, the call for the fire came in at 8:10 p.m. for a house on Maple Street. The Massapequa Fire Department extinguished the fire. The home was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. Police say the Arson Bomb Squad and the Fire Marshall are investigating.
