Staff from Plainview and Syosset hospitals will be providing the free screenings for residents.

The Town of Oyster Bay announced today that it is partnering with Northwell Health to offer free skin cancer screenings in Massapequa on Aug. 9.
The screenings will be held at Marjorie Post Community Park, located on Merrick Road in Massapequa, from noon to 2 p.m. The screenings will be performed by staff from Plainview Hospital and Syosset Hospital, and will be done on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are necessary.
"We're so proud to partner with Northwell Health throughout the summer to protect the health and wellness of our residents from the potential dangers of prolonged exposure to the sun without the proper preventative measures," said Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino. "This free skin cancer screening provides an opportunity for residents to receive a free skin examination performed by a board-certified dermatologist."
