Heat Advisory Issued For Nassau County As Temperatures Climb
Make sure to try to keep cool, as it will feel like it's in the 90s today and tomorrow.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Nassau County and New York City for Monday afternoon through Tuesday evening, as it will feel even hotter than it actually is.
The actual high temperature is topping out at 89 degrees for Monday. But the heat index will make it feel closer to 95. The highest heat is expected in the afternoon and early evening. That will continue through early Tuesday evening, when thunderstorms are predicted to break the heat.
It's important to keep yourself cool in the heat. Stay indoors in air conditioning if you can, and drink plenty of water. If you don't have air conditioning in your house, go to a place that does, like a library or a movie theater. Also, check to see if your town has opened cooling centers.
