I Hear

Just three words appear on my IPad,

But they shoot terror into my heart.

“Software update tonight,”

Ye gads, another one????

I have barely recovered from the infamous IOS 18 and now it has a descendant.

Christmas is coming. I have my “musts” neatly catalogued. I added bullets and I do believe it is an impressive list this year.

But does it have a future with IOS 18.1.1 lurking in its future?

Will it mysteriously disappear if I am not meticulous when saving it in files as well as pages and icloud?

And what about the Christmas issue of the Cordia Chimes?

Will that become extinct before it is even published? Oh, indeed I would have a problem recreating another issue before December 3.

IOS 18.1.1 is a quandary or perhaps worse!

I feel total and absolute panic, and words I hoped never to say leap to mind:

“I am too old for this.”

Now I am ashamed!

My Mother would be embarrassed.
