And That Just

There is so much to learn and I am so old.

I wonder if I have time, or if I should surrender and lounge in Ignorance of the escalating world of technology,

I seem to encounter and wrestle with a different issue daily,

I lose my important (to me) files.

They disappear into limbo (and I thought that was an obsolete territory).

Or, treasured documents retreat into the distinctly different region of “Unsaved.”

I deeply resent this because I have a well deserved reputation for “saving everything.”

I an addicted to Ronessa’s wonderful weekly tech class, but am beginning to wonder if she fears I am bringing another problem.

Of course, she is totally correct in that assumption,

Because before the new week is over, I will have another updated list of issues, questions and complaints.

Yesterday I tentatively stepped into the alien world of formatting,

It was a frightening experience and I lost not merely my emotional equilibrium but an important 600 word document.

While obviously, it was only important to me, I must never allow myself to do that again.

Yet documents that are unformatted (to borrow Hillary’s words) become “A Basket of Deplorables.”

And of course, it all returns to the original issue,

“Am I too old to cross swords with AI?

And that just might be true.
