'Large Quantity' of Drugs Found in Massapequa Home

Two people arrested after heroin, cocaine, marijuana and assorted prescription pills are found in their home, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - Two Massapequa residents were arrested on drug charges after a "large quantity" of heroin, cocaine, marijuana and assorted prescription pills were found in their home last Friday, according to Nassau Police.

After an extensive investigation for the sale of heroin in the Massapequa area, detectives were able to identify and arrest 20-year-old Jennifer Lopez and 26-year-old Windsor Coleman, police said.

A subsequent investigation led to the recovery of the drugs in their home located at 71 Monroe Avenue, police said.

In addition, detectives also recovered drug paraphernalia and packaging used in the sale of heroin, police said.

Lopez is charged with two counts of second degree criminal possession of a control substance, two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Coleman is charged with two counts of second degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, two counts of second degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, three counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and conspiracy.

Lopez and Coleman were arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead. Lopez is being held on $50,000 bail. Coleman was remanded to jail without bail.
