Family, Including 2 Children, Killed In Massapequa Crash: Cops

Two people were critically hurt in the collision Sunday evening near Sunrise Mall, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY — Three family members were killed in a multi-car crash Sunday evening in Massapequa, police confirmed.

A 10-year-old boy and a 13-year-old, from Uniondale, were victims in the collision on Sunrise Highway near Sunrise Mall, police said.

A 60-year-old woman, from Queens, was also killed in the crash that police said was caused by speeding.

Five other people were taken to area hospitals, two of them are listed in critical condition, according to Nassau police.

Police are investigating.
