Weary of the endless vengeance, both international and domestic, that will not dissipate due to an unhealthy pleasure in “getting even.”
Weary of the still simmering political differences both in casual conversation and public remarks after a decisive election.

Weary of the opinions and oft published reports encouraging termination of contact with aged parents once they become “toxic.” Several of the current studies and/or opinions, have been quoted in the past year in the NYT which lead me to believe it is not an isolated choice.
Currently, there is no encouragement to forgive, but a growing approval for severing contact with parents once beloved, but now categorized as “toxic.”
However It is Thanksgiving Week 2024 and unfortunately, a significant percentage of Americans are currently separated from family at the onset of the traditional Holiday season.
If and when we look closely, we will discover others who are also weary yet eager to join us as we begin to count our many blessings..
The world we share in 2024 may not be what everyone anticipated or desired, but we are indeed fortunate to live in a. remarkable country founded and paid for by blood and tears.
Let us all join in giving thanks during this week of Thanksgiving 2024.
