Long Island Snow Chances Increasing For First Day of Spring

As the last few days of winter wind down, forecasters are continuing to watch a storm system that has the potential to drop accumulating snow on Long Island Sunday and into early Monday.
The latest models show the storm tracking further to the west, which has increased the odds that Long Island sees some snow on the first day of spring.

The National Weather Service has not released any official snowfall estimates yet. The weather service says "precipitation amounts are uncertain" and the precipitation type remains "a little uncertain" as well, "especially along the coast where mostly a mix is possible."
