Long Island Weekend Weather: Sun, Then Possible Rain

We're going to have at least one gorgeous beach day this weekend. Maybe two, if Mother Nature is kind.

Long Island is going to have at least one absolutely gorgeous beach day this weekend. And maybe two, if we're lucky.

The National Weather Service says that Saturday should be beautiful, with mostly sunny skies and a high around 85. However, there is a chance that thunder storms could move into the area Saturday night into Sunday. So if you need to go to the beach this weekend, make sure it's Saturday.

If you do go to the beach, make sure to be careful: there is still a warning for dangerous rip currents forming. Also, some beaches are closed to swimming.
