Man Armed With Box Cutter Robs Massapequa Gas Station

BREAKING: The robbery occurred late Saturday night, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY – A Massapequa gas station was robbed by a man armed with a box cutter Saturday night, police said.

According to police, the man entered the BP station located at 900 N. Broadway around 11:47 p.m. and demanded a 22-year-old male cashier give him cash from the register.

After the cashier complied, the man removed an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot north on Broadway.

There were no injuries reported.

The robber was described as white, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans, a red long sleeve shirt, a dark baseball hat and a dark colored mask covering the bottom part of his face.

Police are anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
