Man Arrested For Stealing Over 30 Bottles of Perfume From Mall Kiosk: Cops

Detectives were led to the man through a positive fingerprint match, police say.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - A Northport man was arrested on Wednesday morning for stealing over 30 bottles of perfume from a kiosk inside the Sunrise Mall in Massapequa back in January, according to Nassau Police.

On January 10, Anthony Lagalante, 36, entered the Perfume Plus kiosk and removed the bottles of perfume from the display case, police said.

An investigation led detectives to Lagalante through a positive fingerprint match, police said.

Detectives found Lagalante on Wednesday at 7:13 a.m. in Farmingdale and placed him under arrest without incident, police said. At the time of the arrest Lagalante was found to be in possession of marijuana, according to police.

He is charged with third degree burglary and fifth degree criminal possession of marijuana, police said.
