Man Charged in Massapequa Bank Robbery
BREAKING: Police say the 21-year-old robbed a bank with a woman earlier this year.
A 21-year-old Copiague man has been charged in a bank robbery that occurred in Massapequa earlier this year, Nassau Police said.
Detectives located Shabril Maxwell at the Nassau County Correctional Facility, where he was incarcerated for an unrelated charge. He was arrested and charged with second degree robbery, third degree robbery and fourth degree grand larceny.
According to police, Maxwell robbed the Bethpage Federal Credit Union located at 6257 Sunrise Highway on Jan. 15. Maxwell and a woman with him then fled the bank, police said.
