EAST MASSAPEQUA, NY — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle while walking across Merrick Road Thursday night, police said. The 42-year-old victim suffered head and trauma when he was hit by a 2015 BMW. He was pronounced dead at the scene just after 11 p.m. near Carman Mill Road in East Massapequa.The 19-year-old of the BMW remained at the scene, authorities. Police are investigating.
