Man Robs N. Massapequa Bank

The man handed a teller demanding cash Friday night, police say.

Police are searching for a man who robbed a North Massapequa bank Friday night.

According to police, the man entered the TD Bank located at 1354 Hicksville Road, at the corner of Jerusalem Avenue, shortly after 7 p.m. and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

The teller complied and the robber fled the bank southbound on Hicksville Road in a dark Jeep Wrangler with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

There were three employees and one customer in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as white, 5-foot-9, with a thin build, unshaven and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, aviator sunglasses and a baseball cap.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
