Massapequa Ames Administrators Appointed To New Positions
Next year, the school will have a new principal with a familiar face.

MASSAPEQUA, NY - From Massapequa School District: Massapequa High School Ames Campus Principal Jordan McCaw has been named the executive director of pupil personnel services for the Massapequa School District, effective July 1. Tania Willman, the executive assistant to the principal at Ames, will become the principal.
Mr. McCaw began working for the district in September 2003 and spent nine years as an English teacher at Massapequa High School’s main and Ames campuses. He served three years as the supervisor for secondary special education and one year as executive assistant to the principal at the main campus before becoming
principal of Ames in 2016.
In his new position, Mr. McCaw will oversee the district’s special education department as well as student support services at all nine schools, which includes guidance, psychology, social work and speech. He succeeds Jean Castelli, who is retiring.

“I am grateful for this incredible opportunity, this awesome responsibility and exciting challenge of working with the pupil personnel services team to advance our department by providing all students with the programs, supports and skills they need in order to meet with success,” he said. “One of my personal goals for the 2018-19 school year will be to expand the lines of communication with families in order to engage them as partners in important conversations about how we can work together to build an even stronger foundation for the students we serve.”
Ms. Willman becomes principal of the high school’s ninth-grade campus, after serving the last eight years as the executive assistant to the principal. Prior to that, she was a social studies teacher from 2002 to 2010 at Massapequa High School. Before becoming an educator, she worked in the private sector as a senior systems
analyst and business analyst.
