Massapequa Educator Honored For Dedication To Her Students
Danielle Cheiffo worked hard to help her students compete in a prestigious competition.

Danielle Cheiffo from Massapequa, a teacher aide at Nassau BOCES Barry Tech, was honored by the Nassau BOCES Board for her role in the school’s outstanding student performance at the 2019 New York State SkillsUSA Leadership and Skills Championships.
Considerable effort goes into preparing students for the annual SkillsUSA competition. As an adviser, Cheiffo not only worked with her students on their full roster of academic assignments, but also coached them through the intensive training required to compete in SkillsUSA.
The competition is part of SkillsUSA’s mission to provide the country with a competitive, skilled workforce. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry leaders working together to prepare high school and college students to become leaders in the business world. The program helps establish industry standards for job-skill training and instills a respect for community service in its participants.
